Data-reference only. No photos. The freight cars of Kasgro Rail Lines always draw attention from enthusiasts. The fleet is unique because it is made up of nearly all heavy-duty and special flat cars. When loaded the car's exposed loads are in themselves fascinating. All of this and bright red painted cars too! Most of the fleet was built within the last two decades by Kasgro's own fabrication plant in New Castle, PA. The remainder of the fleet being acquired from various railroad and private sources. Many of KRL's cars were originally built by Kasgro for the Louisville, New Albany and Corydon Railroad (LNAL). In 2000 the KRL reporting marks began to supplant the LNAL cars on the production line. Eventually all of the remaining LNAL cars were relettered to KRL. Although not freight cars, cabooses are included in this roster for completeness.
